Praise the Lord!

I've been given a golden opportunity for the Lord to show His greatness, power and provision!

Last week my passport was stolen...
Ha, I thought I had left all the red-tape, govermental departments and application forms behind me in SA... NOT SO!

The scenery may change, but red-tape will always be!

I've already been blessed with the finances to get the temporary passport - Thank you for your faithfulness to those individuals who helped me!

Now I will have to get a new passport, but thats not the main problem.
The new russian visa!!!

This means that I have to leave Russia to apply for a new visa.

Please pray with me for this whole process... That we will be able to talk to the right people the first time around and that no time will be wasted on all the red-tape.
Please pray for the finances involved in all of this.

I need: $100 for the Russian Visa.
$50 for the correct SA passport.
Transport to and from which ever country I use to make this application.
I'll have to do blood tests and all that jazz... again, I have no clue how much that will cost!
Accommodation...

Hopefully I will be back in Russia within 10days.

Thank you for all your prayers in this matter...

As you know by now, I don't like the topic of money, but the fact is that we still live in this world and do need the stuff.

Please pray for my monthly income. I took quite a dip in the last month or so.
Pray that the Lord will provide for all my needs and that He will release the nessasery finances.

May the Lord bless you with all His Love, Grace and Abundance!

Hi Moscow running!
I have been preparing for Moscow and Russia for about five months.

Wow - now I'm here, and am amazed how a person goes through different stages. The time for talk is over, now it is just ACTION!

You can't be all talk and no action all your life!
Today I talked to somebody on a bus and was surprised to hear myself say that I've been here only a week. We've been so busy, it feels like a couple of months already.
We've already been on campus praying and talking with students.
Yes you read correctly... "We"!

I thought I was going to have to start this great work in the university alone and build a team up as time goes on. As it turned out, the Lord was one step ahead of me - as usual!

About an hour after my flight landed in Moscow, Louise landed here too. The Lord has been speaking to her about the students in Moscow as well! So, please pray for her! Pray that as we walk the campus and talk to people that the Lord will open doors and give us opportunities to speak into the lives of the students.
It is very difficult to get onto campus. Most of the areas are restricted to students only and there are guards everywhere asking to see your "papers". In this week alone we've been there twice and we've been stopped twice (and we didn't even go into the main building.) So to get better access to the students I will have to enroll as a student myself. Then I will have the right to be on campus and I will also be in contact with the students. As registering as a student will cost quite a bit, please pray that the Lord will provide for that.
Also, please pray that I will be able to clearly identify the key students (and future leaders) as the Lord will points them out to me.
When I'm not at MGU (Russian for MSU - Moscow State University), I will be working with Philip who designed the "Mission Russia" information platform. You can get a whole stack of information and stuff on all the different missionaries and the work we are doing in Moscow and surrounding areas. Please check the "info-plat" out - www.missionrussia.co.za I'll be working with computers and stuff connected with the info-plat.
I'm Staying with Slava and Mariana (and their daughter.) As far as I understand it, Slava use to come to church, but has since stopped. Please keep praying for him.
Pray that the Lord will do a great thing in his life.

Like I said, the time in South Africa was different and quite difficult. Not knowing how to prepare for Moscow and also doing the fund-raising thing which I don't enjoy doing. Then to top it all, it was drawn out by the "red-tape" taking longer that I realized it would. Thank you for praying me through this time and being there for me.
I'm adding a photo of MGU's main building. I hope this doesn't block up your internet connection. Please let me know if you have a problem receiving photos.

You can check out all my photos on the INFOPLAT gallery
May the Lord bless you and keep you safe in His hands!
