Well, I have finally the time to write again - to my precious supporters... No, that's not a "hint" for money! I just wish I had the words and could say how much I appreciate your PRAYER and of course - financial help. Yes, I typed PRAYER in caps... Because with out prayer, I may just as well go home.I need lots of prayer!My friend Stjoppa, that I told about in my previous letters, is back on the bottle. He was doing really great and was dry for some time. His health is also not so good. I don't know if it is because of the drinking, or what... (The medics will be able to shed some light on it) but he just coughs blood at night while he attempting to sleep.We took him to hospital on Saturday.It is amazing, how God just provides! On Friday I checked my bank account, because I was a bit broke. And what do I see, Somebody deposited a check into my account. I had just asked the Lord what the money is for, when Stjoppa's hospital stuff came up.Isn't God just great? He provides for us even before we need it! Any way. Stjoppa needs prayer!If he doesn't leave the drink now... He wouldn't be drinking for much longer! Serioga also needs prayer!He has started studying and I think he has a hard time ahead of him. I also need prayer!I feel like I just can't get my feet on the ground.I'm going from crisis to crisis. If its not Stjoppa that's drunk, its Serioga that is acting up. I'm constantly in "crisis management mode".I need to stay focused and is finding it very difficult to do that. Please pray that I will be able to "lock onto" the Lord and not let anything distract me. I'm also very tired, and can hear the lady at the airport calling for the boarding of flight SA342. Speaking of which... My flight back is booked for the 9th of Nov!!!I hope to see as many people possible before the holiday mood hits SA! I was planning on staying till Feb. When my 6 month visa expired in August, I tried to extend it for another 6 month. HA! That's what I thought! I forgot about all the corruption and junk!I didn't have this document and I needed that and and and... "O' and by the way, you can get 3 month extension, for a meer $100!"After the three months I can pay another $100 for... 3 more months.That's would be more than double than what the original 6 month visa costs! With that said... I love the Ukraine!I wish everybody could be here to see and experience this... Its amazing how the Ukraine is a contradiction in terms: More than 5 years ago they started to build a new hospital... Needless to say, they are still busy.It normally takes them 2 years to build a house.But I Plavni they just recently started building a shop, and with in a 2 months they will be finished. It is amazing to see these woman work in the fields! I think most of the men in SA would cry if the had to keep up with them, BUT walk into a shop and the lady behind the counter is so slow to help you. Plavni is one of the prettiest villages I have ever seen... BUT there is no refuge removal service, and the roads (with pot-holes and all) serve as the local dump. We had massive rains the last couple of days, and half the villages plastic streamed pass our house down to the lake. The people have absolutely nothing, yet they live like kings, eating honey, cherrys, cream and all kinds of luxuries. I thank the Lord that He sent me here!Please pray that I will be able to take everything the Ukraine throws at me in my stride and accomplish the task theAlmighty sent me here to do.
